Joker: Folly à Deux First Trailer Pairs Joaquin Phoenix's Arthur Fleck With Lady Gaga's Harley Quinn

As we mentioned, not everything shown at CinemaCon is released to the public. Luckily for DC fans, the first trailer for Joker: Folie à Deux is already taking the internet by storm.

In the footage, we see parts of Joaquin Phoenix's Arthur Fleck and Lady Gaga's Harley Quinn relationship. What's more remarkable is how their love transitions from what can only be described as delusions to a brutal reality. It also confirms a major change in Harley Quinn's story.

Director Todd Phillips took to the stage to discuss the film and confirmed that, while the sequel may not be entirely musical, music is an “essential element”. It doesn't get too “veer” from the original film and Arthur Fleck always had “the music in him”.

Attendees at Warner Bros. Pictures' CinemaCon panel got an extended sneak peek at Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. Some of the moments on display showed Anya Taylor-Join Furiosa's early life story, her difficult journey to avenge her mother, and the loss of her childhood. We also saw some of this story in Furiosa's latest trailer.

Director George Miller stopped by CinemaCon and said Furiosa will take place in a 16-18-year-old setting, and Taylor-Joy shared that it's “a story of a girl's determination to believe in an impossible.”

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga rides into theaters on May 24, 2024.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is almost back after a 36-year wait

The trailer above is not from CinemaCon.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Warner Bros.' New footage of the sequel was also shown along with earlier clips of the presentation and trailer. We get a good look at Keaton's Beetlejuice, the Deetzes — Winona Ryder's Lydia, Catherine O'Hara's Delia, and Jenna Ortega's Astrid — and Willem Dafoe's character. Lydia also seemingly confirms that the film will deal with the dead and those trying to stay alive.

Keaton has seen the film twice now and says it's “really f***** good” and that Ortega is “perfect” in the movie and immediately got what they were going for.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice opens in theaters on September 6, 2024.

Mickey 17 trailer shows the many lives of Robert Pattinson's Mickey

First trailer for Mickey 17 Warner Bros.' The team and Robert Pattinson showed that Mickey was an “expendable” asset who could be recast whenever he died. The film was based on Edward Ashton's Mickey 7, but director Bong Joon-ho of Parasite fame changed the title to Mickey 17 because he killed off Pattinson's character 10 times more than in the book.

These scenes show Pattinson working against himself several times in this futuristic sci-fi world and Bong-ho knows he can play different versions of Mickey because he has “a crazy thing in his eyes”. We also got to see Mark Ruffalo's dictator character, his wife played by Toni Colette, Mickey's girlfriend played by Naomie Augie, and Steven Yeun, who plays Mickey's “strange friend”.

Mickey 17, which is actually the story of a “simple man who saves the world,” will hit theaters on January 31, 2025.

Horizon: An American Saga gets a breathtaking first look

Horizon: An American Saga, a two-part western epic directed, produced and co-written by Kevin Costner, premiered at CinemaCon. A story set in the Civil War expansion and settlement of the American West.

Costner told the audience that he had tried to make these films, first in 1988 and then in 2012, and that he was thrilled to finally get them across the finish line. However, his entire schedule for Horizon consisted of four films.

He discussed how the film explores the “promise” of America, earned by hard-earned and resilient people who claim their own. However, this came at the expense of those already here. He wanted music to be a central focus for this epic, and he traveled to Scotland to score 92 musicians.

Horizon: An American Saga Part 1 is set to hit theaters on June 28, 2024, and the second part will be released on August 16, 2024.

M. Night Shyamalan's trap is sending audiences to a concert gone wrong

M. Night Shyamalan's next film is titled Trap, and his daughter Salekha, who is also a music director, told us that she helped come up with the idea for the project. As for what the film is about, the trap seems to tell the story of an immersive experience like a concert that turns into a thriller.
