“It’s exciting to start the season at home,” said head coach Kevin Stefanski. “Last year’s home opener was electric and we’re looking for the same atmosphere. We feed off the energy of our fans and I’m sure this will be the first of the 2024 season to get a little extra juice from them. It will be a big challenge for the Cowboys to be the defending NFC East champions, and we look forward to it.”

They traveled to Dallas in 2020, where they defeated the Cowboys 49-38 in Week 4. The Browns last hosted the Cowboys in Cleveland in 2016, and they lost 35-10 to Dallas. The Browns have played the Cowboys 32 times in franchise history since 1960, including three postseason games since the 1960s. Cleveland leads the overall series 18-14.

While the Browns suffered numerous injuries to key players on both sides of the ball in the 2023 season, they are healthy to start the 2024 season as both QB Deshaun Watson and RB Nick Chubb continue to rehabilitate their respective injuries. . They also re-signed players integral to the Browns’ defense in 2023 to run it again with a league-leading defense.

The Browns may have a tough test to start the season, but Week 1 could set the tone for Cleveland.
