They say that resolutions
are made to be broken.
So what?
It’s a tradition. So when New Year comes around, we make resolutions,
never mind if we break them in the next 12 months and, why not,
make new ones with another new year. It’s a cycle.
With the Year of the Dragon only days old, Funfare asked the stars
what their New Year’s resolutions are.
Will they break them or keep them?
Well, I’m sure they would (keep them, that is) if they could.
• Derek Ramsay - Not to get injured. (Note: Derek got a hundred
stitches across his left hand which was injured during a game of
Frisbee, with an iron implanted to strengthen it. That’s why
he’s now called The Iron Man.)
• James Yap: Not to marry again. Hahahahaha!!!
• Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos : I just wish that all Filipinos
will think positively in facing 2012 and work as a team in building
our nation. For my family, to be guided by the Lord.
• Tintin Bersola: To be wealthier and healthier.
• Sharon Cuneta : To take advantage of my renewed excitement
and focus on my life and career, and to make the most of every beautiful
moment in life, in its shortness, has to offer. Also, I will try
my best to live every single day as if the Christmas spirit were
around!
• Lea Salonga : I have none. I know I’ll break them
anyway.
• Albert Martinez : Spend more time with family and friends.
Enjoy life more (make each day count). Learn something new (new
challenges in business and career). Help others… more.
• Mark Bautista: Stay sane.
• Pia Guanio: To be the best ever daughter (to God and parents),
wife, sister, tita, friend and mother (to my dogs).
• Sen. Bong Revilla : I hope to spend more time with my family.
We’ve all been very busy that our time together has been greatly
sacrificed. I also want to spend more time with my dad (Former Sen.
Ramon Revilla Sr. who’s wheel-chair-bound. — RFL).
• Cavite Rep. Lani Mercado: Find time to rest.
• Kris Aquino : Every endorsement we get will have a charitable
giving-back component. For example, for Nido we were able to buy
milk at cost for a Don Bosco orphanage for boys. We pledged milk
for all 150 boys for a whole year. I have a real-estate endorsement
we just closed and they are giving on my behalf five school structures
called Silid Pangarap in five cities or provinces of my choice for
my sister Pinky’s foundation AGAPP. I will continue doing
these projects.
• Gloria Diaz: Eat, love and pray slower!
• Ormoc Rep. Lucy Torres: To learn to sleep early and to always
start and end my day with a healthy fruit or herbal concoction.
• Ogie Alcasid: Spend more time with my family.
• Cesar Montano: In 2012, I will gear all my decisions toward
my passion and not on my intention.
• Sen. Jinggoy Estrada : I hope I can spend more time with
my family. But as things are unfolding in the Senate, my family
might still have to take the backseat. Also, I have to study hard
for the trial so I can be at par with my colleagues who are brilliant
lawyers. (Note: The trial he’s referring to is the impeachment
of Chief Justice Renato Corona.)
• Ai-Ai delas Alas: To be healthier, to be slimmer and not
to be too emotional.
• Aga Muhlach: I will work hard in 2012. It’s going
to be a good one. Always naman. God has always been good and I will
always be. Also, I will forever continue to be the nest I can be
for my wife (Charlene Gonzalez) and our children (Andres and Atasha)
— and for TV5. Yahoo! Mabuhay tayong lahat. Peace!
• Richard Gomez : Try to lose some weight. I want to shed
some 15 pounds. I will run and lift more weights to keep my body
in shape like it was in my 20s. Time to be vain again. |
