Canada’s economic situation in the later part of 2008 saw
the RV (Recreational Vehicles) industry move towards unprecedented
heights caused by sharply declining prices and a wiser consumer
public, forever looking for ways to save money and make recreational
dollars go farther.
Today, RV prices are at an incredible low. According to the Statistics
Canada Consumer Price, RV prices were at this level in early 2001.
Canada One RV which has been in business in Winnipeg for 25 years
has seen the ups and downs of the industry. The market forces
have contributed to make the RVs a relevant and cost-effective
option when families plan their vacation.
Owner Len Brucki stresses that RVs offer economy not found in
any other vacation option. “Depending on the RV model, an
RV holiday can save a family of four anywhere between 50% to 70%
over the cost of other forms of vacation travel. An RV trip is
more economical when one considers the cost of airfare, hotels
and eating out. Besides, families get to spend more quality time
together.”
A family operation, Canada One RV is a retail RV business that
offers a wide range of prices for first-time owners or for those
who would like to upgrade their RVs. Len’s wife, Bev Brucki
along with son-in-law Lance Cornish, manages the company’s
business operations. The company moved to its new location at
1001 Regent Avenue after the company purchased a 200,000 sq. ft.
building two years ago, providing sufficient room for more than
400 RVs and a wide inventory of pre-owned vehicles.
Edgar de Leon, a highly experienced auto sales consultant for
18 years, has joined the company as Sales Consultant. “Canada
One RV’s objective is 100% customer satisfaction. We have
over 400 RVs in stock, the largest in the Province, and offer
the lowest prices, coast to coast.”
De Leon cites some examples of the astonishingly low RV prices:
new Palomino Campers for $4,999 at $49 bi/weekly, new Trail Lite
Campers from $13,999 at $69 bi/weekly, new Springdale 26 ft, light
Fifth wheel with double slide out at $19,999 or $99 bi/weekly.
Prices of other RV models have been reduced by as much as 45%.
According to Edgar, a new Navistar Super Sport 28 ft. RV trailer
with slide out, MSRP loaded at $38,704, now starts at $19,999.
Or, a combination 2004 Dodge Caravan and a 14-ft. Lite Cross Over
Trailer for only $19,999 for both, at $99 bi/weekly.
